The Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU)

The Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU) site at Florida International University (FIU) provides research experience to ndergraduate students during a 10 week summer program. Surf the wave with ASSET Research! The research projects during the summer program will be centered around the theme of Advanced Secured Sensor Enabling Technologies (ASSET). Students will improve the understanding of the nature of research practice and scientific reasoning and learn the process of conducting research and hands-on knowledge of applied and basic research.



Summer program turns teachers into techies

A “summer camp” for local public school teachers had them learning new skills to enhance STEM education in their classrooms.

Many times, a child may show exceptional aptitude and parents may be astounded by the intellectual and creative ability they demonstrate at early stages. It is imperative that one promptly identifies the traits of child giftedness and support such kids in achieving more at an early age.
